Auto motor und sport has given the “Autonis Award” in the compact category to the Audi S1 Sportback which was voted by 33.3 percent of the magazine’s readers out of a total of more than 17,000 readers. The award is given to the car with the most attractive design innovations and it seems Audi’s pocket rocket was the choice of Auto motor und sport’s readers.
In addition, Audi also went home with the “Car Connectivity Award” handed by Auto motor and sport in collaboration with CHIP magazine. The automaker grabbed no less than five first-places for the following categories: Connected Cars, Entertainment/Multimedia, Sound System, Telephone Integration and Navigation.
The members of the jury were impressed by the firm’s MMI navigation plus system as well as by the Audi phone box and Bang & Olufsen audio system, LTE wireless communication standard in the Audi S3. The all-new TT triumphed in the Connected Cars category, and all the above mentioned awards – including the Car Connectivity Award – were given in a ceremony organized earlier this week in Stuttgart, Germany.
As a reminder, the S1 is available in both three- and five-door versions while the S3 can also be had as a sedan and cabriolet, besides the usual three-door and five-door Sportback guises.
