Audi Forum Neckarsulm has on display for this weekend a lovely RS4 Avant in Austin Yellow metallic. The hot wagon is on its way to a well-deserved retirement as the model will be replaced by an all-new generation based on the overhauled A4 set to come out later this year. It’s still a mighty beast with its naturally aspirated V8 4.2-liter hand-built engine producing 450 HP (331 kW) and a peak torque of 430 Nm (317 lb-ft).
It will need only 4.7 seconds to get from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) and can keep on going until it reaches a top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h) which is electronically limited. At an additional cost, Audi is willing to remove the limiter to 174 mph (280 km/h).
According to a report which emerged last year, its successor will drop this engine in favor of a newly developed twin-turbo six-cylinder motor which despite being smaller, it’s expected to be more powerful and also more economical than the current V8 which in the RS4 Avant consumes 11 liters / 100 km.
Aside from the RS4 Avant Austin Yellow metallic, this weekend at Audi Forum Neckarsulm there’s also a pink A1, an RS7 Sportback, RS6 Avant and an S3 Sedan.
