If you saw Avengers: Infinity War, you’d know that it ended on kind of a bleak note. I won’t spoil anything for anyone, even though the movie is almost a year old now. Having a young child, it takes me about a year to watch any movie, so I know what it’s like to get even older movies spoiled for me. Though, it’s safe to assume that, by now, you’ve learned that Infinity War ended on a sad note, with very little optimism for the future. However, the trailer for the sequel Avengers: Endgame has just released that, while still bleak, has some optimism. Especially because the Audi e-tron GT will make an appearance.
That’s right, the Audi e-tron GT will appear in what seems to be the final Avengers movie. If you’ve seen the trailer for Endgame, the fate of Tony Stark seems bleak but he may end up alright, as he’s typically the driver of fast Audis in Marvel movies. He was, after all, the first celebrity to drive the original Audi R8.
So we could see Tony Stark yet again driving a high-end Audi sports car that could serve as a flagship to the brand. While the original Audi R8 was a halo car for the entire Audi brand, the Audi e-tron GT could be the halo car for e-tron, proving that Audi’s electric cars can be exciting. And who better to pave the way for an exciting and high-tech electric future than Iron Man?
HERE BE SPOILERS
Okay, so one last warning for everyone that didn’t see Avengers: Infinity War, as the trailer for Endgame will spoil a great many things.
The trailer opens up with Tony Stark stranded in space after his fight with Thanos and the death of fifty-percent of all intelligent life in the universe, including such superheros as Black Panther and Star Lord. He’s alone, in a space ship, without anymore food, water or help. So he uses his Iron Man helmet to record a last message of sorts to his new wife Pepper Potts. He believes he’s going to die and the trailer does make it seem as if that’s going to be so. Although, it’s likely that a massive superhero rescue occurs.
The announcement of the Audi e-tron GT in the movie might have spoiled that very rescue. While there are others that could drive the e-tron GT, or maybe it’s not driven at all but just in a scene, Iron Man is always the one with the high-tech cars. So it’s entirely possible that he gets saved and makes his way back to Earth to drive his kick-ass new ride.
Avengers: Endgame releases in April and we’re super excited. Get it? It’s about superheros and we’re “super” exci…ah never mind.
