We’re going to officially see the upcoming Audi e-tron GT in just a couple of days, as it’s going to be revealed on November 28, at the LA Auto Show. To build some extra hype around it before it’s official reveal, Audi has released a new teaser video on Twitter.
In this new teaser, we get to see a lot of super-quick, blurry shots of the Audi e-tron GT but it’s really hard to make anything out. With some careful screenshots, we were able to get a closer look at some of it, and we get to see its overall silhouette and its taillights a bit.
It’s profile is similar to that of the Audi A7, so it’s clearly going to be a four-door Sportback of sorts and will likely have a lift-back tailgate. Which is a good thing, because it not only creates a sexy body style but also gives it some added practicality. Something like an all-electric Audi A7 doesn’t sound so bad, right?
We also get to see its taillights, which are similar to the A7’s, with a lightbar that connects the two separate tail lamps, but at either end they feature a bit of a “Y” shape, similar to the A6. They look pretty sharp and aggressive, which gives its rear end a sportier look than the traditional EV.
From what we actually know about the Audi e-tron GT so far is that it will be based on the same chassis as the Porsche Taycan and it will focus on performance, rather than efficiency. So it’s going to be a fast, good looking electric Sportback. Sounds like the perfect follow up to the Audi e-tron SUV.
Stay tuned this week, as there will probably be more teasers on the way, right up until its official reveal on Wednesday.
