Audi concept for Los Angeles Auto Show teased again

The mysterious Audi concept for this year’s Los Angeles Auto Show has returned in an additional teaser. While in the previous teaser published approximately three weeks ago we had an aerial view of the concept, this time we can take a closer look thanks to a more revealing video. Details about the vehicle are extremely scarce at this point but the firm’s new design chief Marc Lichte says the end result was influenced by his passion for the legendary Audi 90 quattro IMSA GTO as well as the first generation A8 and TT Coupe.

According to preliminary and unconfirmed data, the Audi concept depicted here will serve as a preview for the firm’s new styling approach. Moreover, a production version is also speculatively planned for a release sometime in 2017 as a flagship model. It will allegedly ride on the MLB Evo platform and will spawn an S9 variant equipped with a beefy 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo engine developing as much as 600 bhp (447 kW).

We will have full information about the newest Audi concept on November 18 when the vehicle will make its highly anticipated premiere at the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show during the first press day. Hopefully there will also be some juicy details about the rumored production version set to sit on top of the A8.
