Audi has released a new video in which they celebrate their triumph at the 2014 Spa 24 Hours endurance race. It was actually Audi’s third win of the well-known race in Belgium and they managed to do it with an R8 LMS ultra driven for 527 laps by Rast/Vanthoor/Winkelhock , finishing ahead of the BMW driven by Luhr/Werner/Palttala who were seven seconds slower. In third place came another Audi R8 LMS ultra, this time driven by Mies/Nash/Stippler who crossed the finish line at a one lap distance from the winners.
We remind you that back in June, an R18 e-tron quattro obtained a victory at the grueling Le Mans 24 Hours while a week later the R8 LMS ultra won at the Nürburgring 24 Hours so Audi went home this year with three 24-hour endurance race wins.
In this video released by Audi Deutschland’s YouTube channel we have the possibility to check out some of the most important highlights of the 2014 Spa 24 Hours, a demanding race for which only highly skilled and experienced drivers are up to the task. Not only did Audi take first and third place, they also occupied the fourth spot at the end of the race with the R8 LMS ultra driven by Guilvert/Ortelli/Sandström. Audi’s other R8 LMS ultra cars finished the race on 12, 14, 20 and 28 places.
