Audi has taken the wraps off the Q3 Camping Tent at this year’s Worthersee meet in Austria. The modified premium compact crossover has been configured with a wide variety of goodies part of the Audi Original Accessories catalog, including a roof rack which is capable of carrying a kayak along with a special set of alloy wheels.

However, the piece or resistance is without any doubt a bespoke tent that can be rolled out, inflated and set up in as little as 7 minutes. This is a free-standing tent that has a wind load rating of up to 43 mph (70 km/h) and if the Q3 owner wants, he can fasten it to the opened tailgate of the vehicle. The concept seen here also comes with other useful equipment such as a hill start assist system as well as an electromechanical parking brake.

Motivation of the Audi Q3 Camping Tent is provided by a four-cylinder, 2.0-liter TDI turbodiesel engine delivering 177 PS and a peak torque of 380 Nm. The motor works together with a 7-speed S tronic gearbox and will complete the 0-100 km/h run in a decent 8.2 seconds.

The German marque didn’t specify whether the tent seen on this Q3 Camping Tent one-off will become available through its aforementioned Audi Original Accessories catalog.
