Set to debut next week at Auto Shanghai, the Audi Prologue Allroad concept is a stunning interpretation of a future allroad wagon with the four ring logo. It’s actually quite big as the vehicle is 5.13 meters long and is actually 77mm taller than the Prologue Avant upon which is obviously based, but this time with a slightly more rugged body and an increased ride height.
It comes equipped with matrix laser headlights combined with LED taillights while on the inside it packs no less than three touchscreen displays as part of the “groundbreaking” operating system. Rear passengers are able to enjoy an OLED screen mounted on the center console from where they can adjust the climate control system, seats and some of the infotainment system’s features.
In terms of power, the Audi Prologue Allroad concept mixes up a TFSI 4.0-liter twin-turbo engine with an electric motor and an 8-speed tiptronic gearbox. It can develop a combined output 734 PS and 900 Nm which is enough for a 0-100 km/h run in just three and a half seconds. It’s not only proper fast, but also very economical as it consumes a mere 2.4 liters / 100 km, with corresponding CO2 emissions of 56 g/km.
Thanks to the rear-mounted 14.1 kWh battery, the vehicle can be driven in electric mode for as much as 54 km and once the battery is depleted it can be charged inductively thanks to the on-board Audi wireless charging (AWC) system.
