Audi breaks multiple U.S. sales records

Audi of America has announced a series of U.S. sales records they have managed to take down thanks to their June sales. Last month they sold an impressive 16,867 units which represents a 23.1 percent increase compared to the same month of last year. June was Audi’s 42nd consecutive month of record monthly sales which also helped them establish a new second quarter record by shipping 49,121 cars.

Audi’s year-to-date sales jumped by 13.6 percent to 84,349 cars commercialized between January through June. These numbers mark Audi’s best ever first half of the year in United States. These U.S. sales records were possible thanks to sales gains provided by a wide variety of models such as the A3, A4, A6, A7, A8, Q5 and Q7.

The A3 Sedan managed its strongest month ever in United States as Audi sold 2,452 units in June which was the third full month for the model in U.S. Audi says their “A-segment” lineup will be expanded towards the end of the summer with the arrival of fresh models such as the A3 Cabriolet, A3 TDI, S3 Sedan and Q3.

One-third of Audi’s sales so far this year were represented by the A6, A7, A8 and Q7 which enjoyed a 16 percent year-to-date increase compared to 2013, helping establish new U.S. sales records.
