Yesterday during the Automotive News Marketing Seminar, several automakers including Audi announced they will spend more money on marketing next year to support forthcoming model launches. Chevrolet and Lincoln will be doing the same thing as a method to increase awareness about next year’s busy model launch plan.
Getting back to the Ingolstadt-based automaker, Loren Angelo who is the director of marketing at Audi of America said the marketing budget for 2015 will increase by approximately ten percent compared to 2014’s levels and the extra money will be invested in the same platforms as before as Angelo says these have been successful so far.
As most of you know, Audi has been involved in some major marketing campaigns in recent years as they were in high profiled TV events like the Emmy Awards as well as the Super Bowl. However, Audi executives are still thinking about whether they should advertise in next year’s Super Bowl game.
Loren Angelo also said that Audi has already started its marketing efforts to promote the variety of engines offered, including for diesels which are still not that popular in United States where most of the people still prefer gasoline and aren’t too impressed about the savings the diesel-running cars bring.
