Audi’s Australian division has decided to maintain the current prices for the outgoing RS4 and RS5 models. This news comes only a day after BMW’s local branch announced plans to add more standard equipment to its M3 Sedan, M4 Coupe and M4 Convertible models which have all received a price cut for the 2016 model year.
The all-new A4 B9 will go on sale in Australia sometime next year and will likely be followed by the RS4 Sedan and RS4 Avant in 2017. There’s a new A5 on its way and will likely be shown in Europe before the end of this year, but Aussies will have to wait until 2017 to get their hands on the car and even more for the range-topping RS5 version.
While there aren’t any discounts on the current RS4, Audi Australia general manager of corporate communications Anna Burgdorf told Car Advice they are offering some attractive deals for the outgoing A4 as well as for its A5 coupe counterpart to clear remaining stock until their replacements will arrive.
We remind you the upcoming RS4 and RS5 models will lose the naturally aspirated engine as Audi through its quattro division have decided to use a turbocharged motor which should bring more power and fewer emissions.
