Audi has announced they will have three global debuts at the Los Angeles Auto Show this year. According to the press release issued by the organizers of the show, it will be one of Audi’s biggest shows to date as they will have eight debuts, three of which are going to be global and all will be presented by the firm’s chairman of the board Rupert Stadler.
Needless to say, the identity of those three global debuts has not been disclosed by we know for sure one of them will be the TT Roadster, an open-top derivative of the third generation TT which has gone on sale earlier this year. The roadster body style will come with the same engine choices so expect a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged gasoline motor offered with 230 HP and 310 HP in the TT S Roadster along with a more economical 2.0-liter TDI delivering 184 HP.
The Audi TT Roadster will come as standard with a front-wheel drive layout but for more money clients will be able to opt for the quattro system. Those three engines will be mated to either a six-speed manual or a six-speed S tronic equipped with launch control.
One other possible candidate to premiere at the Paris Motor Show is the RS3 Sportback which has already been confirmed to pack a 5-cylinder 2.5-liter engine delivering an estimated 360 HP. There are also talks of a concept which will preview Audi’s new styling direction and will also announce the imminent arrival of a range-topping A9 luxurious four-door coupe.
The 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show will be opened to the public between November 21 and 30 while press days are programmed for 18 – 20.
