Independent artist Evren Milano has digitally imagined the forthcoming Audi A9 concept based on the official teasers released so far. Set to be unveiled later this month at the Los Angeles Auto Show, Audi’s concept is being previewed in this unofficial render which shows what we should expect from the real deal.
This could turn out to be one of the most important concepts to wear the four ring logo in the last few years as the vehicle is believed to provide a sneak preview of a range-topping model set to slot above the A8. Moreover, Audi has already confirmed it will pave the way for a new design approach which will be implemented in all future models.
Getting back to the rumored Audi A9, various reports are indicating it will come out in 2017 and will ride on the MLB Evo platform. Interestingly, there are also talks of a hotter S9 variant equipped with a twin-turbo V8 4.0-liter engine developing a massive 600 bhp (447 kW).
Until then, we should wait and see the Audi A9 concept which will premiere during the first press day of the Los Angeles Auto Show set for November 18. The vehicle was designed in Germany at the company’s styling center in Ingolstadt under the guidance of chief designer Marc Lichte. Expect to see a fresh interpretation of the single-frame front grille and a more “sculptural design” which will continue to be instantly recognizable.
