The Audi A8 L 4.0T Sport has reached the 2016 model year in United States where it now packs more punch than its predecessor. The company’s engineers have fiddled around with the twin-turbo V8 4.0-liter engine and have managed to extract an additional 15 bhp which means that it now packs a mighty 450 bhp punch which should make it a tad quicker than the model it replaces.
Aside from gaining more power, the beefy full-size premium sedan from Ingolstadt has also been given a more aggressive look thanks to the more prominent rocker panels that make it look wider than before while the front and rear bumpers were also modified to enable a more imposing appearance. It gets as standard a set of five-double spoke 20-inch rims with all-season tires, but you can pay more and upgrade to a 21-inch set that comes with summer tires.
As for the interior, the 2016MY Audi A8 L 4.0T Sport has the standard Luxury and Executive packages which means that it gets heated, ventilated 22-way comfort front seats with massaging functions. It has a lovely Valcona leather upholstery with diamond stitching, an Alcantara headliner, acoustic window glazing and a panoramic sunroof.
Customers have the possibility of adding a head-up display, Audi side assist with pre sense system and an adaptive cruise control with built-in stop & go function.
If this sounds good, Audi of America is asking $90,500 plus $925 for destination for one of these machines.
