It was back in February this year when Mercedes-Benz took the wraps off the S-Class Coupe so maybe some other premium automakers should come out with such a flagship model. X-Tomi Design from Hungary speculatively rendered an Audi A8 Coupe to compete with the S-Class Coupe and dare we say this digital illustration has a lot of potential.
The vehicle adopts a considerably sleeker silhouette as a result of the more sloping roofline and the removal of the rear doors. The front ones are now slightly longer and provide the car with an elegant profile. It was envisioned by the artist with a lowered sports suspension together with beefy white/black five dual-spoke alloy wheels along with an attractive light blue paint contrasted by the white mirror caps.
Some might say that it looks a lot like the A5 Coupe which frankly isn’t wrong and an Audi A8 Coupe would probably look like a stretched A5 Coupe packing matrix LED headlights and a powerful engine under the bonnet.
For sure it’s too late in the game for the current generation A8 to receive a coupe derivative but maybe the next model (planned for a 2017/2018 release) will end up with a coupe version. If there will be one, expect also an RS version as well to tackle the S63 & S65 Coupe AMG duo from Mercedes-Benz.
