The Audi A8 5.5 has made its official debut today on April 1 and will be offered exclusively in Japan. The name was selected from 5 (five) Go and 0.5 (half) Han which is related to the term “gohan” meaning rice in Japanese language. What sets the model apart from a regular A8 full-size sedan is represented by the rice cooker mounted on the rear center console.
It comes with a heat convection inside the Japanese rice cooking pot known as “Hagama” in which the owner can prepare the “perfect rice ever.” Interestingly, the Audi A8 5.5 comes with rear tablets from where you can select from several cooking options. Those who buy the car will also get an Audi-branded rice paddle.
Revealed today on April 1, the Audi A8 5.5 is set to go on sale in a short while in Japan.
