You probably haven’t heard of Taras Lesko but he is a talented artist who replicated the Audi A7 and R8 from paper. The elegant silhouette of the A7 Sportback (pre-facelift, 2012) was beautifully recreated and you will notice that even the interior cabin has been accurately imitated. Audi of America actually commissioned Lesko to develop a four-foot long papercraft replica of the 2012 Audi A7 for the car’s debut at the 2011 New York Auto Show.
To fully understand the amount of work put into the paper-made A7, Taras Lesko used no less than 750 parts on 285 sheets of paper which were all designed and assembled by using reference photography and original A7 blueprints provided by Audi. It took a whopping 245 hours to complete the project and according to the author the end result was well received by Audi.
As for the paper R8 supercar, Taras Lesko actually collaborated with Turn 10 Studios to work on the third installment of the Forza Motorsport series so naturally he created a papercraft model of the car which was actually on the cover of the game’s box. The paper R8 featuring a Forza theme was later on featured on the game’s official blog and received positive feedback.
