This all-new Audi A6 Avant e-tron Concept is a breathtaking all-electric wagon concept that could be the best looking wagon Audi’s ever designed. To give it a better look, check out this new video from Auditography below.
Based on the Audi A6 e-tron Concept, this new Avant version is just that — an Avant version. For those who don’t speak Audi, that means it’s a five-door wagon. Being based on the A6 e-tron, the Avant gets the same 100 kWh battery pack, which should provide the same 700 km (435 miles) of range. It will also get the same 800 volt charging, allowing it to charge at speeds up to 270 kW.
Powering the Audi A6 Avant e-tron Concept will be a dual-motor setup that makes 496 horsepower (350 kW) and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm) of torque. At least in one of its fruitier model variants. According to Audi, it can reach 0-62 mph in under four seconds. That’s not quite Audi RS6 Avant territory but we do fully expect an Audi RS6 Avant e-tron to be made, likely packing far more power.
In this new video from Auditography, we get to see all of the A6 Avant e-tron’s details up close. Everything from its killer digital Matrix headlights and taillights, to its massive pair of false rear diffuser, is on display in this video. More than that, though, you can see all of its interesting design details that are hard to see in photos, such as the sharply creased shoulder line and the muscular rear wheel arches.
The video also shows off the clever light dances that both the headlights and taillights do. Audi’s new digital Matrix LED lights can create an almost infinite number of shapes and patterns, which allows Audi to program in exciting light dances when the car locks and unlocks.
When the Audi A6 Avant e-tron Concept finally reaches production, it will likely have a very similar design. Audi has been pretty spot-on when it comes to turning concept cars into production cars over the past few years. We can only hope Audi continues with that trend.
