This current generation of Audi A4 Allroad, despite criticism from a lot of enthusiasts, is actually one of the brand’s best selling cars in the U.S. Here, customers love the idea of a luxurious wagon that also looks rugged and off-road-ready (though they hate regular luxurious wagons, oddly enough). So good news for American Audi customers, as it seems Audi is looking to capitalize on the newly-found popularity of Allroads. Come late 2019, the Audi A6 Allroad will be making its way to the U.S.
After having seen some official information from a source of ours, I can tell you for sure that there will be an A6 Allroad and it will be making its way to U.S. shores. There’s no exact date, or even yearly quarter, but we do know that it will be coming here sometime next year, likely in the last half of the year.
Unfortunately, that’s all the information we have on the Audi A6 Allroad. We don’t know specs, pricing or performance metrics. All we know is that it will exist. However, it’s not hard to make an educated guess as to what it will be.
Based on the brand-new Audi A6, the upcoming A6 Allroad will likely just feature a similar treatment to that of the Audi A4 Allroad. So it will get a slightly taller ride height, some rugged plastic body cladding and maybe some roof rails. That’s really about it. It will be more capable on some loose gravel or muddy road but it’s not going to be some Moab-crawler.
The new Audi A6 is a great car and one we can’t wait to get our hands on. It boasts new styling, a new interior, new technology and new engines, compared to the outgoing model. The Audi A6 Avant (Top Picture) is also one of the best looking wagons on sale today. When we consider how good the A4 Allroad is, and how popular it’s become, on top of how good the new A6 is, we expect big things from the Audi A6 Allroad and look forward to seeing it next year.
