Audi Australia has announced they are analyzing the prospects of commercializing the A6 Allroad Biturbo. The standard A6 Allroad is available exclusively with a V6 3.0-liter turbodiesel engine delivering 160 kW and 500 Nm sent to a quattro all-wheel drive system thanks to a dual-clutch seven-speed automatic transmission. The Biturbo version will get a 3.0 TDI Biturbo V6 engine pushing out 235 kW and 650 Nm delivered to both axles via an eight-speed automatic gearbox.
Audi currently has the A6 Allroad Biturbo on order across Europe and now the company’s Australian division is working on brining the car to the Land Down Under. Until a decision will be taken, the locally sold A6 Allroad with its single-turbo version that has received a significant $6,000 price cut and if the Biturbo version will be sold in Australia, expect the starting price to stand at approximately $150,000 taking into account the single-turbo model starts at $119,000 plus on-road costs.
