Currently on sale now in the UK, is the Audi A6 Allroad Sport. Audi Allroads are basically just slightly jacked up wagons design for some mild off-roading, let’s call it soft-roading. So the Audi A6 Allroad isn’t much more than a slightly lifted and more rugged A6 Avant. But that isn’t stopping Audi from giving it a Sport badge.
Said Sport badge will start at £49,445 and bring quite a lot of kit with it. Firstly, all A6 Allroad Sports will come with V6 TDI diesel engines. There will be a 215 hp and 268 hp models that will be mated to a seven-soeed dual-clutch automatic transmission and power all four wheels. There will also be a 316 hp model, but that one will use the familiar ZF-sourced eight-speed automatic, as it’s the only transmission that can handle the torque of the more powerful engine. The latter engine can shuffle the Allroad Sport from 0-60 mph in 5.5 seconds.
Along with the engine options come some sporty bits to make the Allroad Sport seem a bit more premium. Things like 19″ wheels, full-LED headlights, LED turn signals and a head-up display. The American jealousy-inducing Matrix OLED headlights will also be available as an option.
While the Audi A6 Allroad isn’t necessarily a sporty vehicle, as it aims more toward utility and luxury, the Sport adds a bit off needed excitement. Now, the A6 Allroad can be both a practical and luxurious while also being fun and sporty. It also looks quite a bit better with its sporty touches.
With the US being the recipient of more Allroads than Avants, it’s possible that such a model might make its way across the Atlantic.
