The 2015 Audi A6 2.0 TDI ultra facelift was recently tested by Automann who wanted to find out how fast it sprints to 220 km/h. It was back in September last year when Audi applied a mild facelift on the mid-size sedan which gained a very frugal four-cylinder, 2.0-liter turbodiesel engine teamed up with either a six-speed manual gearbox or an optional S tronic transmission.
The engine has a 1968 cm3 displacement and develops 190 PS (140 kW) between 3,800 rpm and 4,200 rpm while torque stands at 400 Nm and is available in the 1,750 to 3,000 rpm range. When working with the six-speed manual, the A6 2.0 TDI ultra will hit 100 km/h in 8.4 seconds whereas the S tronic version is 0.2s quicker. Regardless of gearbox choice, the frugal A6 has a top speed of 232 km/h.
The six-speed manual version carries a starting price in Germany of €41,800 while the S tronic variant will set you back at least €44,050. In terms of CO2 emissions, the manual version is rated at 114 g/km while the S tronic-equipped variant emits 109 g/km.
