Audi A4 pickup render doesn’t make any sense but we still like it

Independent artist X-Tomi Design from Hungary has decided to turn the new Audi A4 into a pickup truck.

Back in May we saw Theophilus Chin’s pickup based on the Prologue concept and now time has come to see the new A4 (B9) how it would look if Audi decided to transform it into a utilitarian model. Those who are in the market for a premium pickup should look elsewhere as Audi has officially ruled out coming out with such a model in the foreseeable future, but they did admit it could still happen at some point in the future.

We heard Audi’s chief of design Marc Lichte saying earlier this year the upcoming brand new design language would be hard to tweak for such a utilitarian model which is why there won’t be a four-ringed pickup truck in the near future, although he didn’t rule out this possibility entirely.

This comes at a time when Mercedes-Benz is hard at work on such a vehicle which won’t be a true Mercedes since it will be based on the Nissan Navara.

If you are in the market for an upscale pickup from VAG, the Volkswagen Amarok is probably the right model for your needs and preferences.
