The highly anticipated Audi A4 B9 has been speculatively rendered yet again ahead of an official reveal expected in the following months. These latest digital interpretations are based on recent batches of spy images of prototypes so what you are looking at is actually very close to the real deal which will probably receive its world premiere in September at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
Ingolstadt’s next generation of the compact sedan will adopt the evolutionary route as far as the styling is concerned, but with differently shaped headlights and taillights which will make it stand out when put side by side to its smaller brother, the A3 Sedan which is now the cheapest sedan with the four ring logo money can buy.
The Audi A4 B9 will probably be bigger than the outgoing model but even so it is expected to lose somewhere in the region of 220 lbs (100 kg) thanks to the MLB Evo platform. A range-topping RS4 version is already in the works and according to the latest gossip it will make the switch from a naturally aspirated engine to a twin-turbo six-cylinder which is believed will be more powerful compared to the 3.0-liter inline-six inside the BMW M3 where it churns 431 PS.
Sales of the Audi A4 B9 should come towards the end of this year.
