Audi A3 upgraded to 337 HP by Unitronic

Unitronic has developed a performance software upgrade for the Audi A3 equipped with the four-cylinder 2.0-liter TSI engine. Offered in three versions, the kit includes a recalibration of the engine’s ECU which is done in a matter of minutes through the OBD-2 port while the reliability and drivability of the car will not have to suffer according to the tuner.

The stage 1 package costs $650 and brings an increase of 63 bhp and 84 lb-ft for a total of 297 bhp and 346 lb-ft of torque. It’s optimized for using 91 OCT/95 RON fuel and does not require any hardware modifications. This package can also be configured at an additional $50 to run on 93 OCT/98 RON fuel, the engine delivers 310 bhp and 347 lb-ft.

Upgrade to the stage 2 kit available for $750 and aside from the software revision you also get a three-inch downpipe which optimizes dissipation of the exhaust back pressure and ensures maximum flow. In this case, output is bumped to 337 bhp and 370 lb-ft which makes it 103 bhp and 108 lb-ft more powerful than in stock configuration.

Aside from being more powerful, the Audi A3 by Unitronic also features an improved throttle response, better fuel economy, engine temperature protection while the electronic top speed limiter is removed.

These kits are available for the Audi A3 2.0 TSI with the S tronic gearbox and can also be had for the Volkswagen Golf VII GTI 2.0 TSI in both six-speed manual and DSG versions.
