Back in May we saw Audi’s Clubsport Quattro concept based on the sedan body style and now we take a look at X-Tomi Design’s vision of a more practical Audi Clubsport Quattro Variant concept. Needless to say, such a model will never see the light of production day as the upcoming RS3 will likely be offered as a five-door Sportback and possibly as a sedan as well. In addition, Audi isn’t selling a Variant version of the A3 but it’s still interesting to see how such a hot wagon could end up looking.
Audi’s hardcore concept uses as foundation the S3 Sedan but ditches the 2.0 TFSI four-cylinder engine rated at 300 PS with a 2.5 TFSI five-cylinder sourced from the RS Q3. The engine has been further tweaked as output was taken from 310 PS in the high-performance crossover to a mind blowing 525 PS while torque has been bumped from 420 Nm to 600 Nm.
Sitting on massive 21-inch wheels, the Audi A3 Clubsport Quattro Variant concept seen here has been rendered with a similar aggressive yet subtle body kit matched with a lowered sports suspension and the firm’s matrix LED headlights. There are also several carbon fiber body parts, carbon fiber ceramic disc brakes and a more prominent roof-mounted spoiler.
