Just like they promised yesterday, Audi has uploaded two videos of the A3 clubsport quattro concept which is currently being showcased in Austria at Worthersee. Through these clips we manage to get a better view of the radical concept which is based on the S3 Sedan. However, the car has suffered massive modifications as it’s now powered by a 5-cylinder 2.5-liter turbocharged motor delivering an impressive 525 PS and 600 Nm of torque.
The concept tips the scales at 1,527 kg and has received a quattro AWD system together with a 7-speed S tronic gearbox. Thanks to this setup, the Audi A3 clubsport quattro concept will sprint to 100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds and it will keep on accelerating until it hits a top speed of 310 km/h.
Other highlights of the model worth mentioning would have to be the matrix LED headlights, large 21-inch alloys, carbon ceramic braking system and a 10mm lowered sports suspension compared to the regular S3 Sedan upon which is based.
Although there aren’t any plans for a production version, some of the goodies will be implemented in the upcoming Audi RS3 which will likely take the shape of a sedan. It will likely retain the concept’s 5-cylinder engine but with a significant detune, while the design will probably be toned down. We will know for sure in the months to come since the new RS3 should be out in the second half of the year.
