Alfa Romeo Giulia CrossWagon rendered as Audi A4 allroad quattro rival

X-Tomi Design has decided to envision a potential Alfa Romeo competitor for the Audi A4 allroad quattro. Ingolstadt’s rugged compact wagon is expected to show up at the Frankfurt Motor Show in mid-September and won’t have any real competition in the premium segment as neither BMW nor Mercedes-Benz offer such a vehicle.

Perhaps it is time for other manufacturers such as Alfa Romeo to step up their game and elaborate a beefier wagon with a jacked up suspension and plastic body cladding to take on the A4 allroad quattro as the more competition we have, the better products will hit the market. An Alfa Romeo Giulia Sportwagon would certainly be a breath of fresh air in the compact estate segment and in this rugged specification it would be an interesting product worthy of our consideration.

However, it’s not known at this point whether the stunning Giulia sedan will be joined by other body styles in the years to come. Alfa Romeo will probably shed some light about that in the middle of September when they will bring their Giulia to the Frankfurt Motor Show. A wagon version along with a sleeker coupe would certainly make sense in an expanded Giulia range to tackle the big boys in the compact segment.
