ABT Sportsline made an Audi RS4 Avant police car for Essen Motor Show

If you haven’t heard of the Essen Motor Show, it’s essentially the German SEMA. So rather than having car companies show off their latest cars, it’s full of tuning companies showing off their latest car projects. And this brings about a lot of very unique and interesting cars. For instance, at this year’s Essen Motor Show, ABT Sportsline showed off an Audi RS4 Avant that’s been turned into a police car.

On the outside, it doesn’t look too much different from a standard RS4 Avant, except for, ya know, the police livery. Its grey, blue, yellow and white livery with “Polizei” all over it makes it very clearly a police car. Not to mention its roof lights and grille lights. But aside from its police gear, it looks like your pretty standard ABT-tuned Audi RS4 Avant. So it gets new wheels, a cooler body kit and some added aerodynamics. There are even some cool canards at the front end.

Under its cop-car skin, the “Polizei” Audi RS4 Avant also gets some mechanical upgrades. ABT added its typical power kit, which includes an ECU tune, additional water cooler and air intake, which increases power by 80 hp, making it 530 hp total. That’s quite a lot, as the standard 450 hp car is capable of 0-60 mph in less than four seconds. It also gets bigger brakes and an Akrapovic exhaust, which should make it even more exciting.

This “Polizei” Audi RS4 Avant made its debut at the 2019 Essen Motor Show on November 29 but will run until December 8. If you get a chance to check out the Essen show, do it. It’s a great show filled with genuinely impressive and exciting cars. Among them is this funky yet fun RS4 Avant. Just don’t get pulled over by it because it’s so fast you can’t run from it.

I've been in love with cars since I was a kid, specifically German cars. Now I get to drive them talk about them on the internet.
