Few aftermarket tuners know how to properly upgrade Audis like ABT Sportsline. Their latest project is yet another Audi RS6 Avant. This time, it’s not the full-blown monster RS6-R but a comprehensive tuning kit that turns things up a few notches.
Right from the factory, the Audi RS6 Avant makes 591 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque. That’s a lot of power already. However, thanks to ABT Sportsline, you can get even more power out of its 4.0 liter twin-turbocharged V8, as well as a better sound and better handling.
The ABT Power performance upgrade bumps the big V8 up to 700 horsepower. That’s almost as much as a Ferrari F12 in a five-door family wagon. Even better than that, though, is the upgraded exhaust that amplifies the sound of the twin-turbo V8. It’s a stainless-steel unit with middle and end silencers that not only makes the car sound better but lets it breath better, too. Oh, and it gets matte black carbon fiber tips.
To help the Audi RS6 Avant handle better than it already does, an ABT V4 adjustable suspension increases both performance and style. It’s a fully-adjustable setup that has four different areas of adjustment; height, rebound and pressure for both high and low speeds. This suspension setup was also meticulously tested for the RS6 specifically, so it’s going to improve the ride quality in every way.
If you want a little more agility from your RS6, ABT also offers its own anti-roll bars, which should help it through corners. Though, if you get the dynamic ride control equipped on your Audi, with its cross-linked hydraulic suspension setup, you’ll probably want to just stick with that and not modify your suspension. It’s the same sort of setup that’s offered in the super-series McLarens and they ride like the stuff of dreams.
Admittedly, the Audi RS6 Avant is not a car that needs more power. Do you really need to get to 60 mph in less than three and something seconds? Seriously? Of course not. But if you want to, then go see the folks at ABT Sportsline. They’ll hook you up.
