This new generation of Audi RS4 Avant is one of the best in the model’s impressive history. With a 2.9 liter twin-turbocharged V6, it makes 450 hp and 443 lb-ft of torque. That engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic and powers all four wheels. That makes it the fastest in the model’s history. It’s also one of the best cars Audi currently makes and we’re big fans already. However, the folks at ABT Sportsline have given improving it a try.
To give the Audi RS4 Avant more performance, ABT gave it their special ABT Engine Control (AEC) unit that bump power up to 510 hp and 501 lb-ft of torque. The standard car is capable of getting from 0-60 mph in about 3.9 seconds, so expect this ABT-tuned one to do the same sprint a few tenths quicker.
Apparently, that’s not the end of what ABT has done to the RS4. “We have prepared a little surprise for Geneva International Motor Show,” said CEO Hans-Jürgen Abt.
It also gets specially-tuned suspension upgrades and a selection of 20-inch wheel designs. It’s wheel track has been widened and its suspension has been lowered. ABT even gives it an illuminated Start/Stop button to make starting the car more exciting.
This one looks great, too, wearing its Nardo Grey paint and its black 20-inch wheels. Especially lowered and widened, which makes it look far more aggressive and athletic.
We’re excited to see what ABT has in store for the Audi RS4 Avant in Geneva. It’s one of our favorite Audis and ABT is one of our favorite tuners. So it seems like a match made in heaven. And, just judging by the info we have right now, this ABT RS4 tune seems well worth it for anyone who wants a bit of extra poke from their already quick RS4 Avant.
