ABT is building 50 more Audi RS4 Avant ‘RS4R’ models

A little while back, ABT Sportsline developed 50 tuned Audi RS4 Avants, dubbed “RS4R”, which were 523 hp monsters. As expected, all 50 examples were snatched up pretty quickly. So it was pretty exclusive. For those of you that didn’t get to order one but want to, get your bank cards ready because ABT is making 50 more but they’re going to go quick.

These new tuned Audi RS4 Avants are going to be called “RS4+” now but will virtually be identical to the previous car. So it will still get the same 2.9 liter twin-turbo V6 making 523 hp and 502 lb-ft of torque, though 503 hp is what’s standard, requiring and optional power boost for the full beans. If you’re going to get a limited-run tuned RS4, why not go for the full beans, though?

Along with that much power, the Audi RS4+ gets a new exhaust system, now with quad pipes replacing the standard dual ovals. We’re hoping that enhances some of the somewhat dull exhaust note of the standard Audi RS4. It also gets an adjustable coilover suspension, new wheels, some new aero bits and a boat-load of carbon fiber.

The stock Audi RS4 is fast. Like, really fast. It’s 2.9 liter twin-turbo V6 in stock form only makes 450 hp and 443 lb-ft of torque and can rocket the RS4 to 60 mph in under four seconds. So imagine what it can do with 523 hp and 502 lb-ft? ABT Sportsline doesn’t have a quoted 0-60 mph time for its RS4+ but we can expect something in the low three-second range, which is flirting with Audi R8 territory.

So if you like the RS4 but don’t think it’s extreme enough, fast enough or wild enough looking for you, then it might be worth looking into the Audi RS4+ Avant. Though, get ready because the limited run of 50 units is going to sell out fast enough to be gone before you can say schnitzel.
