These days, there is a lot to be said for someone who can walk into a dealership and throw down the cash in full to pay for a car, let alone a luxury car such as an Audi. Well, one such German man had every intention of doing that by taking an envelope full of about 23,000 Euros or roughly $31,000 when he walked into his local Audi dealer to buy a fine example of the Audi A3 Cabriolet.
All was going well with the planned purchase up until a test drive of said new car. However, the man made two mistakes which doomed him, he brought money in an envelope and then placed it on the backseat of his soon-to-be drop top. Sure enough, police received reports of money raining down along the A2 highway in Lower Saxony. After a road closure and search and clean up operation, the man walked away with roughly 20,000 Euros – lucky considering what could have meant him losing everything. No word on if he did ultimately by the A3!
