A heavily modified Audi RS7 Sportback competed in a drag racing even against some reputable cars.
It happened recently during the SCC500 Deutsche Meisterschaft Rolling50 1000 organized on a one kilometer long closed airfield where the tuned RS7 raced an upgraded BMW X5 M (F85) with 700 bhp. Up next was an Audi RS6 R (C6) with no less than 700 bhp, but in both cases the RS7 managed to take the win at a close gap.
We can’t say the same thing about the next drag race against a 700 bhp Manhart BMW MH6 700 M6 Stage 4 Convertible which took a comfortable lead right from the start and won the race quite easily. Someone with a Chevrolet Corvette C7 Stingray tried his luck against the 693 bhp Audi RS7 Sportback, but obviously the model from Ingolstadt was the first to cross the finish line.
The final race was against a 630 bhp BMW M5 V10 Dinan Stroker and the two cars were very close at the beginning of the race but in the end the RS7 managed to pull away and took the win.
As a final note, the modified Audi RS7 Sportback managed to reach a top speed of 261.66 km/h (162.58 mph) in one of these drag races.
