DTE Systems is introducing their chip tuning program for the latest generation Audi RS3 Sportback.
It’s not like the RS3 is down on power, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t room available for improvements and DTE Systems wanted to prove just that. After installing their PowerControl SNT tuning chip, the mega-hatchback received an extra 43 PS and 920 Nm, so the five-cylinder 2.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine is now capable of pushing out 410 PS and 557 Nm.
With more muscle under its hood, it shouldn’t come as a surprise the RS3 can now run the 62 – 99 mph (100 – 160 km/h) sprint 1.1 seconds quicker and it likely has a higher top speed as well, but they haven’t tested this so far.
It’s too early to tell whether Audi will introduce at some point during the RS3’s life cycle a “Plus” version with more power, but it will likely happen now that the facelifted Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG is now the strongest hot hatchback in its class.
Getting back to DTE Systems, they say similar boost packages have been created for numerous other Audis, including the RS Q3, S4, S5, RS6 and RS7. They also provide tuning services for several models from Porsche, such as the Macan, Cayenne and Panamera.
