2020 Audi RS6 Rendered as a Sedan to take on the BMW M5

Okay, so we have a bit of Audi RS6 fever at the moment. But who can blame us? It’s the very first RS6 to ever make it ‘Stateside and we’re damn excited about it. Plus, it could be the best looking RS6 ever and possibly the best looking fast wagon we’ve ever seen. It’s just awesome. However, what if Audi wasn’t content on making it a wagon? What if Audi wanted to branch off into new markets and make an RS6 Sedan? That’s the world that this render lives in.

Thanks to this new render from X-Tomi, we get to see what the new RS6 might look like if it were made into a sedan. To be honest, it’s not hard to imagine. There’s already and A6 and RS6 sedan, so the back end of the car isn’t really anything new. However, seeing those massive rear fender flares on a sedan body is actually a bit new.

Audi RS6 Avant

It looks good, too. It looks like a very sporty, much more muscular version of the existing S6. I do have to say, though, that it actually looks worse than the RS6 Avant. There’s just something about the wagon body style that makes the Audi RS6 so much more appealing than something like the BMW M5. And that’s what this RS6 sedan would take on head-to-head, as there isn’t a wagon variant of the big BMW.

Don’t get me wrong, the BMW M5 is a brilliant car and one of the absolute best cars on sale today. I’m actually a very big fan of the new one. But, on looks and practicality alone, I’d buy the Audi RS6 Avant over it ten times out of ten, simply because I think wagons are cooler and they’re more practical. So while this sedan render is interesting to see, the RS6 should stick with its long roof.

I've been in love with cars since I was a kid, specifically German cars. Now I get to drive them talk about them on the internet.
