2018 Audi S4 to hit American dealers this Spring, costs $51,875

This coming Spring, the wait will finally be over. All of the Audi fans waiting to get their hands on the next-generation S4 will be able to do so, just in time for the beautiful weather. Pricing has also been announced, as well as trim level. But one thing about the Audi S4 that’s slightly disappointing is the performance numbers for the new S4. But we’ll get to that.

Coming this Spring, the new Audi S4 will hit American dealerships with a starting price tag of $51,875. That will get you the standard Premium Plus trim but there’s a second, more expensive trim level called Prestige, which will cost¬†$56,775 and bring more luxuries and technology as-standard.

The only disappointment for the upcoming Audi S4 is that it doesn’t bring a claimed 0-60 mph time that’s faster than the model it replaces. Audi claims 4.4 seconds to 60 mph for the S4, which isn’t any faster than the previous S4 did. Though, we expect it to be faster than that, as Audi is always conservative with its performance figures and did the same with the last S4 as well. So expect the S4 to hit 60 mph in the low four second range. Although, this time around, its transmission is an eight-speed ZF-sourced automatic rather than a dual-clutch gearbox like the last car. So maybe it will be a tick slower than expected.

This upcoming Audi S4 will be powered by a 3.0 liter turbocharged V6 engine that makes 354 hp and 368 lb-ft of torque. It will send that power through the aforementioned automatic transmission only, though it’s possible that a manual transmission comes later in its life as an option, to all four wheels. There will also be a limited-slip sports rear differential offered as an optional extra and should b mandatory for all buyers. We can’t wait to get our hands on one.
