2018 Audi A8 shows up at Spider-Man: Homecoming Premiere

Just this past Wednesday night, the Hollywood Premiere for the upcoming Marvel film “Spider-Man: Homecoming” showed off quite a few stars. Tom Holland, who plays Peter Parker and his web-slinging other half, was chauffeured to the premiere in the upcoming 2018 Audi A8, which is also featured in the film. The Audi A8 was camouflaged, of course as it hasn’t been debuted yet, but was done with a Spider-Man theme. There’s even a big spider designed into the camo on the hood.

Holland and his Audi A8 weren’t the only stars at the event, though. Robert Downey Jr. (Tony Stark/Iron Man) and Jon Favreau (Happy Hogan) also joined the premiere but both drove up in a black Audi R8 V10 Spyder, because Iron Man.

Wednesday night the new Audi A8 could be seen in Los Angeles alongside many Hollywood stars at the world premiere of ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming.’ Tom Holland, who stars as Peter Parker / Spider-Man, was chauffeured down the red carpet at the TCL Chinese Theatre. Meanwhile, Robert Downey Jr. and Jon Favreau arrived together in a black Audi R8 Spyder.

Audi has been one of the more prominent auto brands in the Marvel movies ever since the first Iron Man (2008), which featured the very first Audi R8 ever. More recently, the Audi SQ7 TDI made its debut in Captain America: Civil War and now Spider Man: Homecoming will feature the new Audi A8. In the latter, there will be a scene where Happy Hogan drives Peter Parker around in the new Audi A8. He will show off its autonomous driving capabilities by using the Audi AI Traffic Jam Pilot while chauffeuring Parker around. So quite a good plug for Audi in one of the Summer’s biggest blockbusters.

What’s interesting is that Spider-Man: Homecoming will actually act as the car’s debut, as the movie will debut before the Audi A8 is properly debuted at the Audi Summit in Barcelona. So if you want to see the new Audi A8 before anyone else does, go see Spider-Man on opening day. Or, you could just wait a few days until the Audi Summit on July 11 and come here and we’ll have all the details and photos for you (shameless marketing ploy, check).
