The Audi Q7 is nothing we haven’t already seen before, as we’ve covered it extensively over the past few months. However, as Audi’s newest and most important SUV, it’s always one of the stars at Audi’s auto show stands. At this year’s 2016 NYIAS (New York International Auto Show), the Q7 was there showing off yet again.
Audi’s latest Q7 only comes with one engine in America, so it’s a good thing it’s a brilliant one. The 3.0 liter supercharged V6 is an absolute gem, with great power, a great noise and excellent refinement. That engine is mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox that sends power to all four wheels via Audi’s latest generation off Quattro.
This particular Audi Q7 wears Florett Silver paint with a Cedar Brown leather interior and the combo works really rather well. It’s also wearing the standard 20″ 10-spoke-star wheels and is loaded with such luxuries as Audi’s new Virtual Cockpit. The second-generation Audi Q7 looks great and sets a design language for all Audi SUVs moving forward. The current generation Audi Q5 is on its way out and is due for a replacement soon. So expect to see design elements pulled from this new Q7.
