The brand new Audi R8 V10 Plus is stealing headlines everywhere, with its stunning looks, incredible power and fantastic performance. There’s a reason Iron Man loves the R8. While the new R8 V10 Plus isn’t anything all that new, as it’s been around long enough for everyone to have seen already, it’s always a sight worth seeing. This gorgeous example showed up at the 2016 Chicago Auto Show just recently.
The 2016 Audi R8 V10 Plus uses a mid-mounted 5.2 liter V10 that packs 610 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque. The V10 is paired with Audi’s own seven-speed S-Tronic dual-clutch gearbox and powers all four wheels, via Audi’s Quattro all-wheel drive. But the R8’s Quattro system is far more performance oriented, sending most of the power to the rear wheels, until it feels that the fronts need some power. All of that allows the Audi R8 V10 Plus to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 3.2 seconds.
This exact Audi R8 is wearing Dakota Grey Pearl paint, which is one of the best looking colors for the R8. It allows the car to look aggressive and sporty, while also seeming quite elegant. It’s our favorite color here at QD. The 19″ Double-Spoke Forged wheels with titanium finish are also spectacular looking. Certain “Plus” model touches, like the fixed carbon fiber wing at the rear give the car a very aggressive look.
