The all-new Audi A4 allroad quattro is being unofficially previewed through a speculative render.
It’s easy to imagine the new ruggedized A4 Avant from Ingolstadt as it will look just about the same as the standard version, but with an increased ground clearance and plastic body cladding in black applied onto the wheel arches and the side skirts. It’s also bound to receive front and rear stainless steel underbody protection along with different alloy wheel designs to further differentiate it from the regular A4 Avant.
Needless to say, the model will come as standard with a quattro AWD setup and it is unlikely Audi will offer the base 1.4 TFSI engine as that’s too weak for the new A4 allroad quattro. Instead, the vehicle will receive the newly developed 2.0 TFSI and the two turbodiesels: 2.0 TDI and 3.0 TDI.
Last time we heard, the Audi A4 allroad quattro is programmed to receive its world premiere at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2016 and will go on sale immediately after that. There’s no word on pricing just yet, but it’s safe to say it will be a tad more expensive than the A4 Avant, so expect the model to kick off at over €40,000 at home in Germany.
