2015 Audi TT Coupe wins Design Innovation of the Year award

The 2015 Audi TT Coupe has managed to win the “Design Innovation of the Year” award. The Automotive Brand Contest is an international design competition for automotive brands and the third-gen TT will receive the prize during an awards ceremony which will be organized on October 2 at the Paris Motor Show.

At the same venue, Audi will also bring the recently unveiled TT Roadster along with its hotter S derivative. The latter carries a starting price at home in Germany of €49,100 and comes with a four-cylinder 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine outputting 310 HP and a peak torque of 380 Nm. It will be able to complete the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) run in just 4.7 seconds.

The base TT Roadster costs €35,000 and has the same engine but with 230 HP (169 kW) and 370 Nm while for €900 more you can get the TT TDI which has a 2.0-liter diesel rated at 184 HP and 380 Nm. As you would expect, this is the most economical version in the TT Roadster range and promises to allow the open-top model to consume only 4.2 liters / 100 km. The main difference between the Roadster and the 2015 Audi TT Coupe is the power folding soft roof which is opened or closed in ten seconds and can be used at up to 50 km/h.

It should be mentioned that Audi has also obtained the “Best of Best” award thanks to the facelifted A8 sedan equipped with the optional matrix LED headlights.
