Last week Audi introduced the refreshed A6 family and now we get to see a feature video with the 2015 Audi S6 facelift. Featuring subtle styling revisions, the updated high-performance sedan comes with tweaked front and rear bumpers, mildly modified headlights and taillights along with an altered singleframe front grille. At an additional cost, the S6 can receive LED or matrix LED headlights packing dynamic turn signals.
Its heart and soul continues to be the familiar Euro 6-compliant V8 4.0 TFSI bi-turbo engine also found in the S6 Avant. The eight-cylinder motor is capable of developing 450 PS (331 kW) which is enough to allow the 2015 Audi S6 facelift reach 62 mph (100 km/h) from a standstill in just 4.4 seconds (4.6s in the Avant).
According to Audi, the 2015 S6 has a fuel consumption of 9.2 liters / 100 km and has corresponding CO2 emissions of 214 g/km. These more than decent figures are possible thanks to the implementation of a cylinder on demand system which under part load will turn off four of the cylinders to cut fuel consumption.
Needless to say, the 2015 Audi S6 facelift comes equipped as standard with a quattro all-wheel drive system and an adaptive air suspension which lowers the body by 20mm (0.8 inches). It sits on 19-inch alloy wheels matched with matte black brake calipers.
Deliveries of the model will begin later this fall and in Germany the vehicle carries a starting price of 75,400 euros.
