Everybody should know by now that Audi is cooking up an RS3 version to sit on top of the current generation A3. The model should come out in the months to come and we already got a sneak preview of what to expect through the rather exciting A3 Clubsport quattro concept unveiled just last week.
Independent automotive designer X-Tomi from Hungary decided to envision the 2015 Audi RS3 in three-door and five-door Sportback guises by using the styling seen on the aforementioned concept. The end result is quite impressive and gives us the false impression that the attached renders are actually official images provided by Audi.
However, the German marque might decide to offer the RS3 exclusively as a sedan since the clubsport quattro was showcased as a sedan and it’s high unlikely the 2015 Audi RS3 nameplate will be used on more than one body style.
Its beating heart should be the five-cylinder TFSI 2.5-liter from the concept but considerably toned down from 525 PS to approximately 400 PS. All those ponies will be channeled to the quattro system with help from a seven-speed S tronic gearbox.
We won’t be surprised if Audi will decide to show the RS3 at the Paris Motor Show scheduled for October.
