The 2015 Audi R8 e-tron has made its online premiere alongside the conventional-powered R8 V10 and R8 V10 Plus. Unfortunately right now there aren’t any images showing the fully electric version but at least we have all the juicy technical details. It’s powered by a pair of electric motors generating a combined output of 462 PS (340 kW) and 920 Nm (679 lb-ft) of instant torque which grants the electrified supercar with a 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint in 3.9 seconds.
Top speed is going to be electronically-limited to 130 mph (210 km/h) or upon request to 155 mph (250 km/h). The 2015 Audi R8 e-tron has received a newly developed lithium-ion battery that has a 92 kWh capacity and grants the supercar with a maximum range of 279 miles (450 km). After the batteries are depleted, a full recharge using the on board Combined Charging System will take less than two hours.
There’s no word yet about pricing but Audi does say the R8 e-tron will be built on request and will be available on order later this year. Chances are the starting price will substantially exceed the €200,000 mark although nothing is official at this point so we will have to wait a little bit more for an exact figure.
