The 2015 Audi Q3 has managed to achieve a number 1 spot in the small premium SUV category in the 2015 Initial Quality Study. Released by J.D. Power & Associates, the study places Q3 in top position after owners of the new compact CUV awarded the model with the best possible scores for quality and reliability. The top spot was given after J.D. Power & Associates analyzed the evaluations provided by buyers during their first 90 days of ownership.
The number 1 ranking is even more important taking into account the small premium SUV generates some fierce competition on the U.S. market so achieving a top spot is very hard to do when there are so many premium competitors. The 2015 Audi Q3 (US-spec) carries a starting price of $33,425 if we take into account destination and handling fees. It can be had in Premium Plus and Prestige trims with a 2.0 TFSI engine delivering 200 bhp and 207 lb-ft of torque.
In terms of performance, the small crossover from Ingolstadt needs 7.8 seconds until 60 mph and tops out at an electronically-limited 130 mph. According to EPA, the Q3 returns 20 mpg city / 29 mpg highway / 23 mpg combined.
