The 2015 Audi A6 facelift lineup has been fully revealed today and it comes with a series of enhancements. Two economical ultra-badged models will be offered, one with a 1.8 TFSI engine and the other with a 2.0 TDI. The gasoline-running model A6/A6 Avant will have a fuel consumption of 5.7 liters / 100 km with corresponding CO2 emissions of 133 g/km whereas the diesel is going to consume 4.2 liters / 100 km and emit 109 g/km of CO2. Those who order the TDI ultra model will also receive glass fiber-reinforced polymer springs which are 4.4 kg lighter than the conventional ones. It should be mentioned both A6/A6 Avant ultra models are equipped with a new S tronic gearbox.
A 3.0 TDI clean diesel engine is available across the 2015 Audi A6 family with 218 PS and 272 PS in the single-turbo variant whereas the bi-turbo configuration lifts output to 320 PS. Moreover, in the 3.0 TDI competition A6 & A6 Avant it generates a massive 326 PS and for a limited amount of time it offers 346 PS.
The entire A6 lineup is offered with three TFSI and five TDI engines which all meet stringent Euro 6 emissions. Design-wise, the styling updates are moderate and include a tweaked singleframe grille, different bumpers, reworked headlights and taillights along with the possibility of selecting LED or matrix LED headlights equipped with dynamic turn signals.
