U.S. News Best Cars has named the 2015 Audi A3 (US-spec) as being the “2015 Best Upscale Small Car for the Money”. The title was obtained after combining the quality and value data into a composite score, with the quality being measured by the overall score obtained in United States while value is measured by a five-year total cost of ownership as well as the average price tag paid for the car at the time when the award was published.
The 2015 Audi A3 in US specification carries a starting price of $29,900 for the A3 Sedan with the 1.8 TFSI engine, followed by the 2.0 TDI model kicking off at $32,600 and the 2.0 TFSI variant which begins at $33,200, with all three prices applicable for the Premium trim.
There’s also an A3 Cabriolet with 1.8 TFSI (from $35,600) and 2.0 TFSI (from $38,600) engine while the range-topping S3 Sedan begins at $41,400 and comes with a beefier version of the 2.0 TFSI engine developing 292 bhp and 280 lb-ft of torque. The hardware setup grants the hot compact sedan with a 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) run in 4.7 seconds and an electronically-limited top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h). The engine’s output is channeled to a quattro all-wheel drive system through a six-speed S tronic dual-clutch gearbox.
