Following yesterday’s reveal, the 2015 Audi A1 three-door facelift has made its video debut in a presentation clip. The visual changes are hard to distinguish but we should mention there’s a slightly modified front grille and new graphics for the headlight while the overall length of the car now stands at 3.98 meters, representing a two centimeter increase compared to the pre-facelift variant.
Stepping inside the cabin, Audi has installed its latest version of the MMI navigation plus infotainment system which has a foldable touchscreen display and now packs a larger memory, voice control functionality and support for Wi-Fi hotspot. The 2015 Audi A1 three-door facelift can also be configured with a Bose Surround Sound system while the Audi connect module provides an Internet connection.
As far as the engines are concerned, the model has gained a new entry-level version which and for the first time ever in an Audi, there’s a tiny three-cylinder engine which provides 95 HP from a 1.0-liter displacement. A diesel three-cylinder 1.4-liter engine is also offered in the more frugal A1 1.4 TDI ultra where it provides 90 HP and enables a fuel consumption of only 3.4 liters / 100 km. The beefy 1.8 TFSI develops 192 HP and comes standard with a seven-speed S tronic gearbox.
The 2015 Audi A1 three-door also benefits from revisions to the chassis as well as a new electromechanical steering. Wheel size ranges from 15 to 18 inches and if you opt for the S1 version you get to benefit from quattro all-wheel drive.
