The 2015 Audi A1 facelift has been introduced and it comes with numerous tweaks both inside and out. Starting with the exterior, both models are now two centimeters longer which means they have an overall length of 3.98 meters (13.1 ft.) while the styling has also gone through some subtle revisions to keep the premium city car fresh and competitive.
As far as the interior is concerned, the Ingolstadt-based automaker has applied some minor tweaks and can be ordered with in the design or sport line. Also available is an S line sport package, design selection along with a wide variety of customization options such as colored air vents and decorative body decals. Audi is offering the MMI navigation plus with support for voice control, WiFi hotspot and a Bose Surround Sound system.
The biggest changes have occurred underneath the hood where the 2015 Audi A1 facelift range is available with four TFSI and two TDI engines, with output ranging from 90 HP (66 kW) to 192 HP (141 kW). For the first time ever in an Audi, there’s a three-cylinder engine with a one liter displacement and 95 HP (70 kW) output which allows the model to have a fuel consumption of only 4.3 liters / 100 km.
Audi’s engineers have also made some revisions to the chassis and have implemented a newly developed electromechanical steering. The new sport equipment line brings a stiffer tuning while being more comfortable than its predecessor, while the S line sport suspension is for those who want a more dynamic performance.
Another novelty is represented by the Audi drive select dynamic handling system which allows the driver to change engine characteristics, modify the S tronic transmission and adjust the shock absorbers.
